I have served as an adjunct assistant professor teaching Chinese language and culture, and that experience deepened my appreciation for guiding others through meaningful learning and personal growth. Over the years, my passion for helping people cultivate healthier, more fulfilling lives through a holistic approach—grounded in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tai Chi, and Qigong—has grown so strong that I chose to dedicate myself to this work full-time.
My holistic health consultations center on cultivating a sustainable, healthy lifestyle and supporting the body’s natural ability to heal. I am currently advancing my training in TCM under a renowned doctor in China, focusing specifically on food therapy and food-grade herbal remedies. This knowledge has been deeply empowering, and it is my mission to pass that empowerment on to every individual who seeks my guidance. Food is the best medicine, and your kitchen is the most powerful pharmacy.

In the past, I experienced multiple prolonged mold exposures that caused severe condition even led skin damage on my arm. I also endured several chemical exposures—one of which nearly cost my life.  Every challenge I faced became a stepping stone toward greater resilience. Today, I am healthier, stronger, and more grounded than ever before. Without any deliberate effort, my weight naturally returned to what it was in my 30s,  and my energy and vitality continue to flourish. My journey has reaffirmed a powerful truth: when we restore balance in our bodies, minds, and environments, healing happens in ways we never imagined.
I began my Tai Chi and Qigong journey during my college years in China, and these practices have been a foundation of my life ever since. With decades of practice and over 13 years of teaching experience across the U.S., I am proud to see many of my students now teaching under my certification. What makes my teaching unique is the integration of practical self-care knowledge drawn from Traditional Chinese Medicine and holistic health. This approach allows students not only to learn movement, but also to gain valuable tools for disease prevention, long-term vitality, and longevity.

                         Tai Chi  vs Qigong

Tai Chi and Qigong are time-tested practices that support whole-body health. Together, they help reduce stress, improve mobility and balance, ease pain, and enhance mental clarity, to name a few.
While both practices promote healing and vitality, Tai Chi and Qigong work differently in the body. Tai Chi is often described as “meditation in motion,” emphasizing continuous, flowing movements. Qigong focuses more on breath, intention, and gentle movement to guide the flow of Qi. For best result, learning at least one of each is highly recommanded.

I've completed level 1 and am looking forward to level 2. I do highly recommend Vickie as your instructor for Tai Chi or Qigong.

Vicki is a knowledgeable and patient teacher of Tai Chi. I took her class to learn the 24-form Tai Chi sequence. Vicki understands the best way to teach the movements: first get the basics, then slowly shape the form over time into more correct movements. Having feedback from an in-person teacher is crucial to learning the right way.

I came across Vicki's Tai Chi website during a transitional time of my life. I was experiencing burnout, depression, and compassion fatigue from my previous job at a maximum level. Once I began Tai chi sessions with Vicki, she understood and educated me and my group members on the many benefits that could be gained from learning Tai chi.
